dilly dally
Definition: to waste time through aimless wanderings
Verb: informal
"Don't dilly-dally for too long"
Synonyms: slow; procrastinate
We’ve been told that to dilly dally is to waste time, but we see it differently. To dilly dally is to wander, to daydream, to let curiosity lead the way. It’s freedom from ticking clocks and to-do lists.
When you dilly dally in nature, now that is where the real magic happens. Nature gently pulls us back to what matters - to connection, to creativity, to each other and to yourself.
At dilly dally, we create nature connection experiences that invite you to pause, connect, have fun and remember your intimate relationship with nature that’s always been there. Whether you consider yourself ‘outdoorsy’ or not nature is for everyone its just about figuring out your own way to connect. It will look different for everyone. And like any relationship this takes time and will continue to evolve and grow as you do.
So come on let’s go dilly dally in nature together.
Who knows where we’ll wander today?
Hi, I’m Emma
I believe nature connects us to ourselves and each other and that a relationship with nature is essential for everyone even if you don’t consider yourself ‘outdoorsy’ because whether you like it or not nature impacts humans and those benefits make us feel a whole lot better about ourselves. My aim is so show you that there are many ways to connect with nature, it's just about finding the ways that works for you. That’s why I created dilly dally.
I am an accredited Forest Therapy Guide with the International Forest Therapy Alliance and have been an out and proud nature lover for my entire life. I have worked in the corporate and mental health health sector for over a decade.
I create open, supportive, non-judgmental spaces that allow for authenticity, play and connection to come through.
The more we deepen our connection with nature the more we will deepen our connection with the world around us, each other and ourselves which will ripple out into every aspect of our lives.
A kinder world is right in front of us when we embrace and connect with nature.
I look forward to dilly dallying in nature together!
